The Woozy Doozy

a dramatic photo for a dramatic story

Well, the good news is, I passed out at an Anthropologie.

But the bad news is, I passed out at an Anthropologie.

And it turns out I was fine, of course. Though seriously embarrassed. And do I now have to turn in my "Totally Awesome At Being Pregnant" card?

I'll really miss that.

  1. Heehee...this is too cute!

Low blood pressure? Eat loads of licorice believe it or not. My gynae told me that one when I kept passing out all over the place when I was preggies.

Hang in there. Glad you're okay

  2. Fabulous story! ANd may I suggest going with the travel system? A lightweight stroller will never be able to haul that chic diaper bag that I am so sure you will be toting! And you're right, it wouod have been just AWFUL at a Walmart!!!

  3. I bet if you'd go back in, all hydrated and revitalized, that they may give you a discount on your purchases as a badge of honor. You KNOW those salesgirls love you now, and are deeply concerned for you...you owe it to them to go back and show them that everyone's okay, and they owe you 20% off!

    Drink your water!!!! :D

  4. Oh Darling, I hope you reached out in fainting depairation to grasp an Anthro scarf to dab your forehead which of course would be unreturnable with sweat on it.

  9. I'm glad that you and the babe are okay. And I'm with Alison on the travel system. You can carry all your stuff in those! *sigh* I really need some spiritual edification at the Anthropologie.

  10. Hooray for undivided attention! Love it! And any swooning story is pretty good, even if it's for nancyboy reasons. (Not that yours was!) Oh, and you tell your story so well!

I'm pretty sure you're gonna love the hospital after giving birth to your Holbsbaby. (Not so sure about the labor part? That, to me, sounds terrifying, but at least you'll get a cute, cuddly, pink bouncing baby boy out of it!) Oh, the attention new mothers get! It'll be stellar, to be sure!

Glad you're okay, even if it was pretty silly...

    Drink up!

  11. Just adorable! I'm SO glad you are okay! And the fetus too! I'm so glad this story had a silly ending. :) And of course it's NOT silly when it concerns a fetus and his momma in a Lindsey Lohan moment at the Anthropologie. Just wow!

  16. I want to faint at Anthropologie!!! I feel like faining every time I open their catalogue and ogle their merchandise, so I might as well go the full mile at the store, eh?

We have a travel system and really like it, except for ONE thing: now that we're having baby #2, there's no way we can get both kids into to, and selling the travel system in exchange for a carseat and dual stroller is kinda out, seeing as no one really wants to buy a used carseat. So I'm guessing I'll be toting small child in the harness while big sister rides in the stroller.

That being said, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Chicco Cortina stroller in gray and lime green. I bought it partly because it looked so freaking awesome--don't tell Karl that! He thinks it all was due to the stellar reviews on ConsumerReports.com. I'm letting him think that was the selling point for me, of course, because it makes me sound so informed and savvy.

holy cow girl! I'm so glad you are fine :) I would die if that happened to me, but you sound like you did it all so smoothly.
and hey, if I were to pick a place to pass out- it would definitly be anthropology too.

  19. You are so going to love being in labor, when you get so much attention it's ridiculous! Seriously, it was my favorite thing ever!

  20. Ahaha, that got me worried, that you passed out. But, you've turned it into a right good entertaining story, and it DOES sound like you're fine :)

Just so you can hear your baby's heartbeat? The dedication !!! :D

  21. At least it wasn't at Walmart! The horror. And at least you weren't holding a bag of rutabegas in your hand at the Walmart. The tragedy. (I wonder if I spelled that vegetable correctly?)

I remember vividly the day I had to turn in my "Awesome At Being Pregnant" card. It was a sad event for me, too.

BUT, you got to hear Gabriel Edmund's heartbeat! Hooray!
