Finding no other alternative, I picked a fight with Brandon (sometimes that happens).
"Brandon," I said in distress, "Brandon, when is the last time you told me you thought I looked nice? I bet you don't even know what I'm wearing right now!"
He rubbed my back sweetly and said in a calm and measured voice,
"If you are wearing a striped shirt right now I will kill myself."
(Dang it.)
So, here we go.
Idaho stripes:
Pregnant stripes:
New mom stripes:
Bonus Hucklystripes!

And you make stripes look incredible! Keep rocking them, you look great! (And I'm so jealous, wishing I could look that good or find that many cute stripey tops!)

Love the stripes. Love your clothes. Suck it, Holbs.
ReplyDeleteNorth Meets South
i feel like there aren't enough striped pieces of clothing to make the world a better place! I LOOOOOVE stripes!
ReplyDeleteA) I hate you with that bikini body. B) Your mid-Feburary tweets have sent me on a frantic search for the perfect striped French sailor tee. C) I don't know how people carry on with a Huck either. Everybody should have a Huck.
ReplyDeleteummm. i have a similar wardrobe. stripes are my kryptonite. i love them. but what's not to love. they're amazing--proof: you look amazing in them. though, to be fair you're just downright good looking, so....
ReplyDeleteokay. hope you're well lady. lets get tea soon?
I love all the stripes and especially the hucklebaby bonus stripes. You should design a signature stripe!
ReplyDeleteHaha that is so stinkin' funny
ReplyDeleteI know I keep thinking, okay I am going to totally stop buying stripes! But then continue to buy them. OPS. Love all yours.

the first photo, idaho stripes, top left. i had that sweater. it was my favorite sweater EVER. then it started to get holes all over. it was a sad sad day when i had to get rid of it.
ReplyDeleteSo...The Holbsdaddy isn't dead, is he?
ReplyDeleteHaha! I love all the stripes! I don't like them for me, but on you they are adorably cute. On Huck they are stratostrophicly adorable. Yes, I just created a word. Go with it. ;)
ReplyDeleteHi to the Holbs, as well, assuming he's still alive. (LOL Amy Jo made me chuckle!)
I love all your stripes! They are totally fab and I am beyond tres jealous of them! My body type does not allow for the wearing of horizontal stripes so you can tell people you are just compensating for me! :)
ReplyDeleteYou do own some astonishing numbers of stripes!! But at least you make them look "secksy" as you put it :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE LOVE stripes. My Favorite. and you make them look SOOO good.
ReplyDeleteI am SUCH a sucker for stripes! And obviously not the only one - LOVE all your outfits!
ReplyDeleteAh! haha That's too funny, that is a WHOLE lotta stripes.

I.LOVE.STRIPES. PERIOD.
ReplyDeleteOh I enjoyed this post so much!! I love it... You look amazing in stripes and should keep on wearing them! :) It's definitely more astonishing that you have so many stripe clothing, I wish for some beautiful stripy clothing, but it's hard to find... (well, it's hard to find those that look good on me)...
ReplyDeletehahahahaha don't worry the amount of striped shirts i own is kind of funny too. i love them so much!
ReplyDeleteI really like the first two striped shirts. Any chance they are still in stores :D?
ReplyDeleteI love stripes too. Yours are all great.
ReplyDeleteIf you feel like you need to get rid of some, send them my way ;)
haha, I think I love you, Natalie. I'm pretty sure stripes are a girl's best friend. Acupuncture for the Soul
ReplyDeleteI'm crazy about stripes, too. Never have cared if they make me look big or whatever. In fact, I think they flatter me. You've got some great striped pieces :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE all the stripes. I wish that I could pull it off, but alas. I cannot. So I shall leave the stripes of the world to you. Everytime I wear any time of stripe my family humms the Harry Potter Theme song till I change....hmmmmm...correct me if I'm wrong...but does Harry actually WEAR alot of stripes? I didn't think so....anyway....
ReplyDeleteGood Striping.
Totally the hours it took you to get all of them together. I was actually thinking that. But really I was focused on your use of CAPITAL letters.
ReplyDeleteDang, that girl has alotta stripey tops.
ReplyDeleteI CANNOT stop LAUGHING!! "If you are wearing a striped shirt right now, I will kill myself." And then that LONG line of Striped Shirt photos ensued. WERE YOU?
ReplyDeleteBut did he tell you you're pretty? :)
ReplyDeleteoh STRIPES. I love them so much! seriously you cannot have enough stripes even though it is true the amount of stripes you own may put my own collection to shame. but who cares!
ReplyDeleteThis makes me feel right at home! Stripes on me, stripes on my baby-I love them!
ReplyDeleteYou know, when I first got married my Hubs told me that horizontal stripes made me look shorter (and I'm short enough)...so for the longest time I was afraid to wear them. And then I decided it's not about being short or tall, it's about being happy... in STRIPES! Duh.
ReplyDeleteI love your hunky-chunky Huck! He is so adorable! Oh the chub!
ReplyDeleteHa ha! I didn't realize how many stripes you wear! But you look good in all of them. Maybe I need to go out and buy more stripes...
ReplyDeleteI am rebuilding my wardrobe and this is what it's going to look like.
ReplyDeleteHey Nat- love the blog! Where did you get Huck's outfit in the stripes blog- the Giraffe onesie and the grey and white socks? Love them!!
ReplyDeleteRachel in Canada
It is decided. I need more stripes in my wardrobe!
ReplyDeleteYou seriously made me laugh out loud. I was amused by the entire post, but the last couple sentences made me lose it! Hahaha! I love it!
ReplyDeleteLove your long grey and white striped cardi. Do you remember where you got it?
ReplyDeleteI love stripes!
Your blog is such a gem. I love how you write like you are talking to a girlfriend.
ReplyDeleteWow, why is this my favorite post? I pretty much can't get enough of stripes. But I mostly find them in my home decor...one time when I was a teenager (prob-ly in seventeen magazine circa 1992) I heard that horizontal stripes make you look wide. You def. prove that theory wrong, but why can't I get that out of my head? When I am done having babies (which will happen in about a month), I am excited to slim down and start wearing stripes!! Did you know you were so inspring?
@anon - i made those! i used to have an etsy shop (http://natalielovin.etsy.com) one of these days i'll open it back up, wheni have enough room in my apartment for a sewing machine!
ReplyDeleteIf I looked that good in stripes, I'd wear them all the time too!
