my goofy baby sister graduated from college this weekend. i am so proud of her! how did we get so old? she majored in opera vocal performance, and word has it her senior recital was beyond amazing.
alex is only my second sister to graduate in opera vocal performance. where did i go wrong? i went digging into my archives to find when all three of us sang together for my dad's birthday--here it is!
in the most terribly exciting news, today huck took his first steps. we have a walker!! there was a lot of excited squealing at our house today. he went from two timid steps to seven and eight in a row and then suddenly it was all over and my baby is an adult. it was amazing to watch him learn and gain confidence so quickly. i just can't believe what a big, handsome, lovely little boy i got going on.
i took about a million videos but ruined each one with my seriously grating shrieks. this one was the least offensive of them all (taken portrait style because i was a little distracted by things) and i am including it below for grandparents and posterity. hooray for huck! biggest big boy in the whole big world!
if you're on the fence about it, let me just tell you... being a mom is the best. shrieking squeals and all.
ahhh that's adorable. he's so proud of himself - yay for huck!
ReplyDeleteoh. my. WORD.

ReplyDeletethat's amazing!! motherhood truly is the best! i squealed so loud when my 10 month old pulled herself to a standing position that I scared her and she broke into tears. i can only imagine what i'll do when she takes her first steps! congrats!!
