if you like them thin
crispy
warm
and melty,
jacques is your dude.

ReplyDeletePS, i like your new header, its super cute!
wowzers i'm drooling all over my desk right now for cookies and sipping chocolate...and you have to clarify "sipping" cause you just want it to last foreeevahhh. I think I want to do my own chewy cookie quest after seeing this...west coast style. happy tuesday :)
ReplyDeleteOh that bakery looks so cute! I am so jealous of you New Yorkers...Chicago finally just got Magnolia Bakery and I am in heaven!
ReplyDeleteI wish we had something like that here, that sound delicous!
ReplyDeleteHave you tried to make his cookies? He's the one who chills the dough for like, 48 hours between mixing and baking, right? That's way too long for cookie dough to go untouched in my house :)
ReplyDeletehow about i come to nyc and visit you and you take me on a tour of the city. and obviously, i just mean a cookie tour.
ReplyDeletei'm with you, chewy cookies are the way to go!
ReplyDeleteAdding it to the list. Your blog cookie posts make me smile:)
ReplyDeleteI like your nail polish!
ReplyDeletei am so glad you are going on the cookie quest and not me...because there isn't a cookie i don't like so those calories would go right to my hips. next time i'm in new york, i'll just go to the places you love. if you ever find a great french fry place...let me know. i'm sure new york has some delicious french fries.
ReplyDeleteOh now you've gone and done it! I'm hungry for a cookie!
ReplyDeleteAm I the only one who notices that girl with her hands in her ears that is making a face (under Nat's right arm)?! Haha...oh, strangers! :)
ReplyDeleteI work at a bakery, and I'll admit these appear to beat our soft oatmeal chocolate chip. Packaging is better too, but thats besides the point! Chocolate chip has to be done right.
ReplyDeleteI must be the only one who likes thin and crunchy chocolate chip cookies. Jacques Torres makes the best spicy hot chocolate too, and their chocolate covered almonds are even better. Sad you didn't have a good experience. That man has a special place in my heart.
ReplyDeleteyou must to try the chocolate chip cookies at the roasting plant! my fav in nyc.
ReplyDeleteUm, yum. And I'm a little jelly that you have so many options to choose from for your testing! We have one bakery in our city - and the chocolate chip cookies... well, let's just say that you're better off sticking with Toll House.
ReplyDeleteI love cookies! It's the only Im good at making. What an excellent adventure to be on!
ReplyDeleteSo with you on both counts! (P.S. Welcome back)
ReplyDeleteI'm dying to try those cookies! By the way, where did you get your olive parka from? It's so cute! I've been trying to find one for the longest time.
ReplyDeleteyou look so ridiculous. in a good way. like all excited and pumped up and oh my gosh about to eat a cookie! us adults gotta remember to appreciate the small stuff. like warm cookies.
ReplyDeleteA student of mine bought my a tin of their hot chocolate for Christmas - AMAZING!
ReplyDeleteNatalie! Your blog is cute and super funny...and I just came across it this morning. I was at Alt too this past weekend and before then I thought I read a lot of blogs, but now I realize I only read perhaps 10 and then online newspapers <- which don't count! Anyways, I inter w/ Brooke and Summer [they need no introduction for you] and Brooke informed me of who you were we sat in on your panel. Wished to have met you in person. Perhaps next year. :) xo
ReplyDeleteI'm with you chewy is definitely better and the way to go but I will have to try some of his next time i'm in NY, you know just for research reasons and just to make sure!
ReplyDeleteI'm totally a chewy cookie girl. Warm and chewy so that the chocolate chips are melty.
ReplyDeleteI am thinking I need to bake this weekend, gooey warm chocolate chip cookies are sounding heavenly at the moment.
I am a chewy cookie girl too, and I must tell you where I've found my new favorite chocolate-chip: Dessert Truck Works (on Clinton Street in the Lower East Side). I stop by and grab one far too often on my break at work. Try them! P.S.- sorry to hear about your computer :(
ReplyDeleteJacques is my vice!!
