(thanks a lot, august!)
. . . itchy for fall weather . . .

(and wishing our lease were up a little sooner)
. . . planning a romantic evening for our wedding anniversary this weekend . . .
(nine years hooo-lyyyyyyy craaaaaaaap)
. . . wanting to join this community ballet class at a studio near our place . . .

DeleteMoving to Texas is a GREAT idea. Everything is AWESOME HERE!
DeleteI know Sandi. I love Sandi and Sandi is right. Move to Texas already! All the greats do.
DeleteI am....
ReplyDelete...thinking you need to move to Dallas:) It really isn't sooo terrible:)
...wishing I had some chocolate cake right about now
...wanting to see the baseball t's with the neck cut out.
Hope your day was good!
i am...wishing i knew ahead of time about the tickets to alt in NYC or else i'd so be there!
ReplyDelete... from texas, it's really not that bad. except when you factor in the heat. then it's hell.
ReplyDelete... still stunned that i watched 3 episodes of Honey Boo Boo on TLC tonight, craziest show I've ever seen.
...over 3 columns too, but too lazy to change it.
... contemplating 4th meal. ok 5th.
I am fondly reminiscing of the time in my life where I devoured book after book of the Babysitter's Club.
ReplyDeleteSeriously. That's what I'm doing right now....the wikipedia article is hysterical.
I'm a loser.
No, you are a legend. That is hysterical. And we have all been there!
DeleteYES! I did the same thing. Loves it!
DeleteI am currently in Texas and so ready to be back up north. It is too hot here! So I can't blame you for your nightmares.
ReplyDeleteYou should try the ballet class! I've secretly wanted to take an adult dance class for awhile now... but I haven't gotten up the nerve yet. Happy anniversary!
ReplyDeleteOkay, you seriously had me thinking this was a pregnancy announcement. Darn!
ReplyDeletetriple darn.
DeleteI thought the same thing!!!! (Fingers crossed and prayers that will be true soon, Natalie!)
Deletenine years--wowzers and congratulations. your family is adorable and hi-larious!
ReplyDeleteyes! You should take ballet classes. And when redesigning your blog you should put the essays bit back up. That was my favorite part- the essays. Now I don't know where to find them.
ReplyDeleteI love this post! Such a great idea!
ReplyDeletexxx
P.S. As a Texan, I understand nightmares about moving here!

ReplyDeletethinking i need a drink and wish it would magically appear

contemplating girls' names--any ideas?
Take the class! Take the class! I signed up for a ballet class after a longggg hiatus and it was so.much.fun. It's nice to get out of the house and dance around, you know?
ReplyDeleteEverybody keep hating on Texas - fine by me. Keeps all the faint of heart away. <3 Houston
ReplyDeleteyou are hilarious. and thanks for the neckline idea -- except i usually screw those things up so maybe i'll just admire yours and keep mine nice and boyish.
ReplyDelete9 years, congrats!!! lets do the ballet class together. im not promising to put on a leo yet, but ill dance my little heart out with you.
ReplyDeletealso dont move to texas
The Air Force sent us to Texas last year, and I have nightmares EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. that they will never let us leave. Thank baby Jesus that you don't have to live here! BLEH.
ReplyDeleteWhere did you find such a tiny belt for your baby?
ReplyDeleteew Texas. I know Brandon is from there but currently we are in Oklahoma which is basically just like Texas although the natives don't like to think so! It's just too hot here all the time and it's dry even though they call it humid.
ReplyDeleteAlso cutting out the necklines, awesome idea!
Texas is basically NOTHING like Oklahoma. Speak for your own state.
Deleteoh my gosh. that is a great idea about the baseball tees!
ReplyDeleteI Am....wishing I lived in NY!! Per usual.
ReplyDelete...demanding to see the T's.
ReplyDeletePlease and thank you.
I have been so entertained by all of the varying opinions on Texas in these comments.
ReplyDeleteI totally want to take adult dance classes. I would do ballet, but tap is my one true passion...
I was really hoping for you to say "pregnant" in all that. :/
ReplyDeleteOkay gals. Enough Texas bashing. I am a spoiled-rotten native of the beaches and weather of Southern California and even I found great happiness in Texas (The Woodlands). Maybe those who are forced to live here (egad!) should try harder to bloom where you're planted.
ReplyDeleteLove your blog! At the risk of sounding bossy, I'd like to tell you to try the class. I started taking adult ballet and modern again (after dancing as a kid), and it all comes back to you quickly; your body remembers what to do. You find that amazing feeling of physical artistic expression again that you don't get from other creative pursuits like writing. I'm 36 and there are women in my class from their 20's to their 50's, and everyone is kind and supportive. I have two babies and so it has become a crucial part of my 'self-care' (i.e. scheduled time to leave the house ALONE). Pretty great for the bod too :)
ReplyDeletestiff necklines in tshirts are my arch enemy....i have some cutting plans of my own this weekend. (that sounds creepy and emo. i didn't mean it.)
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary! And ps, you could have a yard out back in Texas stat if you did come on down here! :) But New York is clearly where y'all are meant to be. Love your blog. :)
ReplyDeleteaw, i'm so excited for fall weather and all the fun holidays that come along with it. i feel like this always happens once august comes around.
ReplyDeleteadorable images as always! :)
xo TJ

ReplyDeleteThat's so funny... I was thinking of signing up for a dance class too, but it's been years! I wonder how long is to long till it would just be embarrassing to go back haha. Cute pictures! :)
