NINE YEARS

on saturday we celebrated a big fat anniversary, with dinner at the spice market followed by a romantic stroll down the high line. and nine whole years, can you believe it? it feels like it's gone by in a blink.

i am so proud to be the wife of such a good man. brandon holbrook, you are the dream come true. and i am positively crazy about our little "holbrook trio," as you put it. but can i be the drummer in this scenario? you can be the upright bass, steady and driven, setting the pace and anchoring our family. also tall and roguishly handsome, let's not forget. i'll be the snare and cymbal; a little erratic and sometimes prone to emotional outbursts, but always keeping time. henny can be our little trumpet, adding melody and life. someday we'll add ourselves a little vocalist, and then we'll be the holbrook quartet. but until then, you're right: our music is divine. i wouldn't change a single thing.
