i basically forced becca to take me to sockerbit yesterday. i don't even feel bad about it, because that's what friends are for. then i forced her to come with me to buy a shower curtain at bed bath and beyond, after she forced me to have a tasti d-lite with her. see? that's what friends are for, that's what i'm saying.
in the debate of chocolates over sour candies i am 100% a sour girl. i want it to hurt! and now that i'm on the subject: twizzlers over red vines, always. the candies we picked out yesterday are so sour i think they might actually be dissolving my insides. it's real good stuff.
don't you feel like you could read my poetic waxings on sour candies for ever and ever?
p.s. brandon stain-treated and washed the slip cover on our white armchair just now and he is BESIDE himself with pride. "wow! the blueberry even came out!" yeah, one time he sat on a blueberry?
i can't handle sour stuff! i wish i could.
ReplyDeleteand btw: your hair looks freakin' awesome. c:
Such a cute post! I love your long hair and your new blog lay-out.
ReplyDeleteI agree! I'm all about the sour. Hands down.
ReplyDeleteAs much as I love chocolate I totally agree with you on the sours. So good. I am mentally noting all of these awesome places to go next summer when I come to New York. Thanks for being you!
ReplyDeleteSour candies are constantly in my daydreams. Sour patch kids berries, trolli brite crawlers and sour cherry blasters from canada or britain are my favorites :)
ReplyDeleteTwizzlers ALWAYS beats Red Vines. Amen sistah.
ReplyDeletethose look delicious! eat them for me!
ReplyDeleteyou just broke my heart a little by voting twizzlers over red vines...
ReplyDelete*sigh*
you're still neat and all but...killin me over here with the twizzlers, lady.

ReplyDeleteI love candy stores!
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog, sorry if that makes me lame! I stalked *cough* your about me section. Hilarious! My favorite was, "I know, right? Haha
Sorry if that was random.
I can't stand sour but I do delight in some good sugary sweetness. Sometimes I think my breastmilk must be chocolate flavoured, the amount of chocolate I consume is insane! My baby girl is so lucky... What was that about caffeine in breast milk? ;-)
ReplyDeleteOh geez, there you go again stirring up controversy. Prepare yourself for some hate mail.
ReplyDeleteRED VINES FOREVER!!!!
(but I'm with you on the sour over chocolates, they hurt so good)
I have been craving sour candies lately so bad. I bought a giant bag of those sour watermelons last night. They make me so sick...I love it.

ReplyDeletehahaha! i actually laughed out loud when i read this and had to read it to brandon! heeheehee, that's EXACTLY what that was! too funny.
Deleteyum! looks so delish! Going to NY for the first time in November. Definitely hitting this sweet/sour joint up.
ReplyDeleteand i clicked over to say to please send him here with the carpet cleaner, but someone else kinda beat me to it.
ReplyDeleteLOVE sour candy and was totally unaware of this store. it's now on my must-visit list. thank you!
ReplyDeletecan't buy sour candy without buying at least a small amount of chocolate to go with it, that way once i've swung back from extreme sour i have something prepared on the other side...its all about balance
ReplyDeleteLove your hair!!! How do you make it so pretty and wavy! :)
ReplyDeletelove you hair!
ReplyDeleteI agree...ALWAYS twizzlers! FINALLY someone else who thinks this. Everyone and their brother and mother that I know loves redvines and hates twizzlers! I will never understand.
I have a white chair, well..dirty gray. What do I use to make it white again? I can't take the cover off and wash it; it's part of the chair.
ReplyDeleteNext time you and Becca hang out I'm totally creeping in. (It might only be creepy to you--I've met miss B in real life). Now I'm all jonesin' for some sour power, oy!
ReplyDeleteHahaha the homemaker glee is my favorite. It's such a good feeling when stains come out! :)
ReplyDeletehahahaha Nat, you are hilarious. NE'ER CHANGE.
ReplyDeleteSheesh. I just watched the episode of Project Runway where they used candy for their material and now this! Oy, lady. My sweet tooth is about to have a heart attack.
ReplyDeleteoh gosh, i feel like even my insides are burning holes just looking at this. and yay to getting blueberry out. high fives all around ;)

Sour candies always win. ;)
ReplyDeleteI know we are destined to be friends because A. Twizzlers. Always. Forever. Amen. B. I always make friends go places with me.
ReplyDeleteI'll always go for chocolate first, but it's hard for me to pass up a sour patch kid.
ReplyDeleteGo Brandon for getting the blueberry out! That is certainly something to celebrate.
I just had twizzlers at the movies, and they sooooo beat out red vines!!!
