oh coney island. well, it's kiiiiind of disgusting, but it's also kind of charming and sweet.
also we did watch a man insert a spoon into his nose on the sidewalk. i mean, that was worth the hour train ride out there for sure.
p.s. huck on the train ride home.
SO DARLING! Anytime a movie has coney island in it, I die a little inside. It looks so fun! Kind of like the East Coast's version of the Santa Cruz Boardwalk. Only I think Coney Island came first. But anyway. Adorable pictures!
ReplyDeleteOh baby is so PRECIOUS it should be illegal or something!
ReplyDeleteYour coveralls are soo cute! Also love these photos! Looked like so much fun!
ReplyDeleteConey Island always looks sooo cool in the movies! :) And that pizza looks just heavenly.
ReplyDeleteHuck looks like he should be modelling in a magazine in that outfit!
ReplyDeleteToo gorgeous!

ReplyDeleteI'm in love with those pictures of you and Huck! Those overalls are so cute--I feel like those pictures will be ones that he looks back at when he's 40 and will think: "Wow, my mom is so beautiful."
ReplyDeletedigging the overalls
ReplyDeleteYour photog skillz are getting really great!
ReplyDeleteWHY DO YOU HAVE TO BE SO SMALL? I want those platform shoes, but I have giant feet now that I have had a baby.
those overalls at coney island? exactly what i would have done. you're da cutest.
ReplyDeleteI went to Coney Island on my trip to NYC last year...I loved how it was run-down and a bit old-skool (I do wish I'd seen the guy with the spoon up his nose though).
ReplyDeletehuck is so freakin cute. as are those overalls.
ReplyDeleteThe PINK overalls!!! awesome overload! :) coney island seems to be such a fun place to visit!
ReplyDeleteI've never been, and I always kind of imagined it to be more magical and much much... cleaner? And livelier? Hmm. In other news, Huck! He's a cute one!
ReplyDeleteyou described coney island perfectly. lovely pictures from your day there!
ReplyDeletehehe, I think part of the appeal and charm of Coney Island is just how very grimy it is.
ReplyDeletethat said, I can't believe you managed to capture such beautiful pictures of the place. Like how!? It's so gross!
I wish I could pull off overalls like that...super cute!
ReplyDeleteI really love the up close shots of your husband and baby Huck, but all of these photos are just beautiful! What a happy family y'all are.
ReplyDeleteAh your little man is too cute, and so are you in the overalls! Totally pulled it off!
ReplyDeleteI love your photos!
ReplyDeleteIs it bad to say that half the reason I read your blog and follow your Instagram is look at all the adorable and hilarious pics of Huck? I hope my kids {that I'll one day have} will be that freaking adorable!!! :)
ReplyDeleteTell us where the PINK OVERALLS are FROM!!!
ReplyDeleteUr outfit is vr cute! Btw Ur son seemed to enjoy himself a lot :)
ReplyDeleteFUN!! My grandfather (who is Italian) grew up on Hudson and Canal in NYC and tells stories of weekend trips to Coney. When I read your blog, I realize what a historic place NYC is and how many people forget that. I always enjoy your blog because I feel like you really appreciate New York. My grandfather moved to SC where he met my grandfather (and had 6 children) but NYC was always home. And he's go back to Little Italy and walk into some of the same old shops and recognize old-timers who'd call him "Lenny!" And the stories! Oh the stories!
ReplyDeleteI love reading yours too!
oops, I meant "he'd go back" not he's :))
ReplyDeleteOh, this made me think of this song, by Miss Tess (based in NYC, I believe).

ReplyDeleteYou have the most beautiful family!
ReplyDeleteoh sweet sweet henny! great pics :)
ReplyDeleteI was so stoked to score some of your cool clothing but alas you are a shade smaller than I am. Boo! The aquarium and Coney Island are totally worth that L-O-N-G train ride at least once a summer. Any more than that and I nearly go crazy with the "Are we there yets?" Lovely photos, lovely family, lovely you!
ReplyDeletethis place looks magical! what beautiful images! really wishing i could pull off overalls right about now. you are rockin' them girl!!!
