on friday night brandon holbrook threw me a little birthday party.
i love my friends here in new york. they mean so much me. when brandon dimmed the lights and they all sang happy birthday i just looked around at all their faces and got all emotional.
here are some photos from the party, taken by the one and only ms becca baust, who, well, i'll just say it: becca baust, you complete me.
p.s.
the invitation brandon emailed to our friends. i died.
what an awesome birthday invitation! hooray for you!!
ReplyDeleteand your son - so wiggly! i almost hate to say it, but... it's like he's a boy. (as in, no longer a baby?)
No wonder you love fall -- it's your birthday! Looks like a great time! P.S. 30 is way better than 20 :).
ReplyDeleteyour hubby is so sweet :) This is such a cute little party! Happy birthday!! October is a good birthday month :)
ReplyDeleteHAPPY (late) BIRTHDAY!! That invitation is great. GREAT!
ReplyDeleteHappy happy birthday, Natalie! (However, may I just say that I don't think I will be able to live through the weekend without your Forever 21 slideshow? Is that shallow?)
ReplyDeleteThat invitation is so awesome.
ReplyDeleteI hope someone got you a eucalyptus candle to make your apartment smell mossy.
ReplyDelete(and best invitations known to mankind)

Hope you had a wonderful Birthday! Because this looks like the best themed Birthday bash of all time. AND I love the invitations. Laughed the whole time. :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous gorgeous gorgeous!!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is THE perfect birthday party. PERFECT. Did I ever tell you I was so obsessed with You've Got Mail that I cut my hair like that, bought clothes like that, and my confirmation name is Margaret, not because I wanted St. Margaret to guide me but because I thought Meg Ryan was the bee's knees?!
ReplyDeleteThirty is going to be THE year. I'll be joining you in a few months. I can feel it. Good things are going to happen. They have to! I need them to. Really.
Now let me go pull out another dozen gray hairs.
Happy belated, Natalie. You brighten my days.
your husband is the best. and happy birthday lady! c:
ReplyDeletei can't even tell you how great that invitation is... complete with an actual bouquet of sharpened pencils? your husband is a keeper. hope you had a great birthday!

Your party looks just so sweet and fun! You look very pretty, I love your hair :)
ReplyDeleteI love finding others who appreciate Rainbow Chip Frosting. People always mistakenly remember me as a funfetti-lover. Funfetti is great and all, but it is just not the same as Rainbow Chip!
ReplyDeletethat is the best invitation ever! he is so thoughtful!
ReplyDeleteNicole @ I am a Honeybee
How is it that all of your friends have really great hair?

ReplyDeletethat invitation is the best!
ReplyDeleteThe party looks amazing. And as another elder of yours -- I'm 32 -- the third decade is what you make it so don't be glum; enjoy it! Love the invitation because I love everything Meg Ryan, pixie cuts and Meg Ryan. Do you have the soundtrack to that movie? It's fantabulous. One question: Where did you get those spiders on the walls?
ReplyDeleteThis is the most perfect thing I've seen in a long time. Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteIs that a bouquet of freshly sharpened pencils? I watched You've Got Mail this weekend and it totally made me think of you. Guess you had your does of it too and celebrating this weekend in the best way possible! Happy Birthday to you!

ReplyDeleteThis is wonderful! That is my favorite movie!!! I'm so jealous! Can I ask where you got your Home Sweet Home map??? Love it.
ReplyDeleteIs it bad that the inner nerd in me got seriously excited when I saw that he use proper citation on the invites?
ReplyDeleteYou got yerself a good husband! But I'm sure you already know that! Looks like a lovely party. :)
ReplyDeleteyou have got a good husband there :)
ReplyDeleteOkay, the BEST part of this all is the invitation. I die.
ReplyDeleteHooray for LIbras and turning 30! I just turned 30 myself on the 3rd. It's a weird shift for me, but it feels good having both a sweet husband and sweet son(s in my case) to give you great cuddles whether you are a happenin' 20 something, or now their 30 year old mom. Happy birthday!
ReplyDeleteSO Sweet! That last picture. Love it. Quite frankly I can't wait until I am thirty. Thirty, flirty, and thriving baby!!! Plus, if I look as good as you, then they are sure to be the golden years!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great birthday treat! All the goodies look delicious! Hope your thirties are the best ever!
ReplyDeleteI tell you what, I had a seriously difficult time turning 30. Questioned all sorts of things about myself and my life...who I was, what I do, what I've done, what I haven't. Kind of really messed up my self-image and all. But I worked through it, and guess what? My 30's have been my best years of my life!!! You, my friend, are in for a serious treat because being thirty-something is totally awesome....and I'm not even kidding! :) (I myself, am sneaking up on the big...ahem...four-oh next summer. Yikes.) BTW, how completely darling is your husband for coming up with the whole You've Got Mail birthday theme??? Love it!
ReplyDeletehow sweet! and what an awesome invite! too clever!

"The odd thing about this form of communication is that you're more likely to talk about nothing than something. But I just want to say that all this nothing has meant more to me than so many somethings." ;)

ReplyDeleteOkay I don't know if you will actually see this comment but I have to ask, is the guy in the blue shirt sitting on you couch named Dean? Cause he sure looks like my brothers old room mate who used to eat Sunday dinner with my family every week.
