I TOTALLY did Jazzercise with my mom and I was explaining it to my husband today. I also had a mini dance party on my own today before I read your post (and I have downstairs neighbors- whoops). I'm adding this song to my kick-pump play list. :-)
That's exactly what I thought Meghan! I watch that movie every year when I'm wrapping Christmas presents. I always get up and stretch my legs at that point. I love when he's lip syncing. :)
Ahhh that's no good that you're having a 'blah' moment, but thanks for sharing that song! I just LOVE it - mainly because it immediately makes me think of Hugh Grant's hilarious dancing scene in Love Actually! That movie is also the best mood lifter FYI :)
I can totally relate to you! I am turning 30 in Dec and my little red head is turning 2 in Dec as well. He makes everything better but has also been the boss of me recently. especially at bedtime. oh boy. I totally get in a funk, and it is good to know and do what makes you feel better, cause a happy mama and a happy wife totally equals a happy life for everyone!!
The Pointer Sisters are my go-to for cooking and cleaning! How can you not be happy when they're playing?! I listened to Jump for My Love just yesterday, and I always think of Hugh Grant dancing in Love Actually. Hilarious!
hahaha, it's true! This song is instant uplifter. So glad you were able to jazzercise those bad feelings away. You are too cute, girl! And cheers to being 30! You wear it well :) xo TJ
You are so right about that song, especially when your silly dancing and the puppy picks up his nun chuk rope and starts flinging it around and whacking you with it. Evasive silly dancing!
You are so right about this song, especially when you're dancing all silly-like and the puppy picks up his nun chuk rope and whacks you with a big knot! Evasive silly dancing!
you are gorgeous, huck is adorable, that photo wall has me swooooning! and i looove that song, thanks for the pep! happy friday! and boyfriend jackets OMG.
basically, you're awesome. 'thirty flirty and thriving' haha..reminded me of 13 going on 30 movie. you look beautiful:) age is a number! xoxo
Whoa! I haven't read the post yet, but you look so much like Natalie Wood. And I've never noticed it, until just now. Especially in the 2nd picture (with your teeth!)
Love, love, love the Pointer Sisters!!! My dad took us to see them in concert (twice) in the 80s when I was just a little girl. That kind of exposure make one a fan for life. (Similar to the way reading a book when you're a child becomes part of who you are. ;) Guess the movie?)
OMG! This song reminds me of that 80's dancing movie with Helen Hunt and Carrie Bradshaw/Sarah Jessica Parker. What is it called? "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun?!"
You need to watch it, stat, if you haven't seen it. (Spoiler: it features a scene with a nun doing gymnastics on a pommel horse, A NUN! doing gymnastics) It will cure your mood fo sho. Squish & kiss that huck, remember your life is beautiful.
I had the great fortune to SEE THE POINTER SISTERS IN CONCERT when I was 8 or 9 yrs old. In a hotel. On Maui. (I'm from there.) My DAD took me, which was ultra random. I loved it, still vividly remember the whole experience!
music is always my good mood motivator....I just sing and dance really loudly grateful that our neighbors can't hear me...or anyone else for that matter!
Isn't it funny that after a vacation you almost need another vacation just to recoup??
