our new tree, betty the second. she definitely needs a skirt.
earlier this evening i decided that today wasn't a day for posting on blogs. the news from connecticut this morning and the shooting in oregon earlier this week (both in towns very near to the towns i grew up in) have kind of ruined me. but then i thought, maybe what we all need right now is some dang christmas trees. homemade ornaments and twinkle lights and some kids in onesies basking in their glow. i just hope so much for comfort for all of us during this horrible time. putting this together tonight, all these beautiful trees in all these beautiful homes with all these beautiful families, it felt really good. i hope you all feel it, too.
(please continue to share your christmas trees! tag your photos #natthefatratxmas and include a quick "@natthefatrat" too so i can be sure to spot them.)
(like last week, a few on the front, and a million more after the jump)
