we took an early evening walk across town tonight to see the annual holiday train display at grand central station and have a little ramen date in midtown, and a chocolate cupcake to cap it off from the cutest, weirdest little cupcake shop i've ever been in. and all in between was the hilarious obnoxiousness that is santacon.
i have a love/hate relationship with midtown. but it's just so good down there at christmastime, i will forgive it for being ridiculous all the rest of the year.
ohhh, santacon.
Huck with those noodles! Oh boy.

ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing weekend Brilliant photos!
ReplyDeleteGreat hat – that is one oversized pom-pom! Also loved seeing your santacon posts on Instagram. They added some cheer to my feed. x
ReplyDeleteLove seeing your New York photos. The lights, oh the lights x
ReplyDeleteHuck is so cute with the noodles! And hey, where did you get those booties? (let me guess, madewell?;) they're fabulous! as are you and your pics:)
ReplyDeleteThe Christmas lights are so pretty My Blog
ReplyDeleteI do believe the small person you're referring to up there at the top of this post, the one yelling "oh no" for a long time, was me.. except mine was more of a long, dragged out "ohhhh nooooooo. noooo!" upon leaving my apartment and seeing not one, not two, but the endless stream of santa's that happens once a year. i think maybe you handled it better than i did :) though i did have to go to Penn Station to pick up my dad and I've honestly never seen anything like the sea of santas standing/falling/filling up the entire LIRR area and most of the top floor, too. and i can't believe you went into the cupcake cafe! that place looks so sketchy from the outside (not sketchy sketchy but ninth avenue midtown sketchy) but darn it if those cupcakes don't look delicious.
ReplyDeleteI second (or third?) the love for your oversized Pom-Pom hat. And did you trade in the Maclaren stroller for the luxury limo of all strollers, the Bugaboo?
ReplyDeleteSantacon? Really? That is classic!
ReplyDeleteoh those bad sidewalk walkers! well said!
ReplyDeletelove every single photo....thanks for sharing the big apple during this time of the year.
ReplyDeleteWhere oh where, did you get that adorable hat!
