my humble basket collection, and a few of my pinterest pins lately
baskets and i have been enjoying a bit of a love affair lately. it's like i see a basket and my pulse instantly slows. ahhhh, baskets. i like baskets for purses, i like baskets for toys, i like baskets for blankets, i like baskets for house slippers. all i want in this life is a couple of good baskets! and maybe some decent house plants, but that's another thing all together.
a few of my favorites from around the web:
not related: i finally saw world war z with a girlfriend last night (my first movie in a theatre since christmas!) and got to experience the wonder that is the 83rd street reclining leather sofa seats first hand. RECLINING LEATHER SOFA SEATS. really solid movie, that world war z. there was this one scene where brad pitt was wearing a navy blue thermal with a muslin scarf and a couple of friendship bracelets, with his dirty hair all tucked behind his ears, where i was like, hey i'd wear that!
i badly want basket #6...for what? i don't know. i can definitely picture my ginger kitty's head sticking out of it, which is useful enough for me.
ReplyDeleteHahah definitely relate with you on brad pitt's wardrobe throughout the movie - I mean,I'd totally wear that everyday if I could (hey, I'd even take his hair!).
ReplyDeleteAlso this heat wave is heating DC hard, it's not a good sign when you look like you just worked out after arriving to work post-metro and walk. SIGH. Stay cool and Happy Friday!
Definitely with you about World War Z!
ReplyDeleteTim Riggins and World War Z?! Slay me! I can't even handle the greatness.
ReplyDeleteI love them all!
ReplyDeleteit's the damn mosquitos that bite :) - bed bugs are sneaky like cheap-o's who hitch a ride back to your apt! i'm sure you're fine.
ReplyDeleteI've been obsessed with baskets lately too, but I'm really not willing to spend 50$ on one. A few weeks ago I found a bunch on clearance at TJ Maxx (15$ folks!) and I went a little crazy. Baskets for every room!
ReplyDeletelove your outfit in that first photo!

i may have just bought 4 gigantic baskets yesterday. hey, one can never have too many, right? ok, not true. but i pretended it was. after all, baby blankets and goobles of toys need contained! CONTAINED I TELL YOU!
ReplyDeleteDo you have any yoga video recommendations?
ReplyDeleteHaha that's pretty funny about the beg bugs. My sister is terrified of bed bugs- She won't go in movie theaters, libraries, sit down on the subway, or on any benches...
ReplyDeleteLove those baskets!! You can never have enough baskets...right? Love #4 I could definitely hide some toys in there and make my house not look so much like a day care!!

i totally have that romper in my checkout at anthropolgie.com. i think. it looks like it. it looks great on you, maybe i'll go click "buy" now. If I am wrong and you got it for $15 at Forever 21 you tell me now! baskets are so good for stashing mess, and then you move, and you look in the baskets, and you are all like what is this odd menagerie of crap? you do have good taste in baskets, though.
ReplyDeleteBolga baskets are my jam. Even people who aren't into baskets-a-plenty (do these people exist?!?!?!) would find them useful. I rarely leave the house without mine, chock full of useless but totally crucial items for my day. In other words, perfect for the lady who refuses to leave the house without the kitchen sink.
ReplyDeleteThis so isn't what you post is about, but LOVE Friday Night Lights. I was so sad when it was over. I watched way too many episodes in a row...
ReplyDeleteOhhh geeee thanks Natalie! I never thought about bed bugs at the movie theater but nowww... lol Also your romper is totally rad, as are you!
ReplyDeleteBrad Pitt being chased by some form of zombie was ahh-mazing!!
