we took a very drizzly ride out on the governors island ferry today to check out the fête paradiso carnival. we wanted to see the vintage french carousel horses before they were packed up and stored away for the season. it was gray and wet but warm.
the brooklyn bridge by rain just might be one of the most beautiful views in the world.
p.s.
you may have noticed we've made a few changes to the blog.
an official URL change is in the works, but for now
welcome to hey natalie jean!
(same accounts as always, so if you're already following me, you're set),
and my about page and contact information page have both been updated as well.
(it was really time to put that old ugly nickname to rest.)
otherwise, it's business as usual around here.
xo!

Lived in SI for four years and commuted into the city for work via the ferry. So many beautiful sunrises and sunsets on those ferries. And each time the city started to get a little too ugly for me all I had to do was see the view of those bridges or the financial district light up at night to remember it's charm.
ReplyDeleteLove the Staten Island photos and I'm loving the new look!

ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos. :)
ReplyDeleteReally gorgeous photos! You are making me ache to get back to NYC for a visit. Maybe next year... Good for you on the name change, too. I know I was really nervous to start a completely new blog recently, thinking not as many people would find me or would follow me from the old blog. But you what? Sometimes life changes and you just have to change with it, especially to stay true to who you are. I loved Nat the Fat Rat, but I'm sure I will enjoy what Natalie Jean has to say just as much (if not more)!
ReplyDeleteThese photos look so nice. I like the name change. -Hanna Marie
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful photos, I think the drizzly greyness of them all makes them look really special. Henry is so lucky that he will have all these posts to look over - I would have loved to know what my mum and I did all day long when I was Henry's age!!
ReplyDeleteI think the heynataliejean change is lovely.

That wasn't the Staten Island Ferry. That Staten Island Ferry is the big orange boat in the background of the first photo - you know, the one that goes to Staten Island.
ReplyDeletehah I know! Brandon informed me of my stupid mistake last night. I should probably change it huh.
