it's been april for all of a day and already it's the craziest month of my life! how are you guys holding up over there?
it's still another week away, but i'm already jonesing for our upcoming family reunion in arizona. it's going to be super brief, just three and a half days over a long weekend, but it'll be such a nice break and i'm so itchy for some dry desert air that it's all i can think about. (AZ heat is like stepping into a blow dryer; nyc heat is like falling into a pot of steaming broccoli.) i'm already planning extra room in my suitcase for some mother effing crystals + wall weavings + turquoise + silver, i'm going to tourist the heck out of the place. i'm also hoping to come back fully seared like a pot roast. ;)
a few of the brands i've been working with have sent me some pieces from their summer lines, i've got like a mini capsule collection going on over here and i can't wait to slip into them. and today i get to share some of that fun with you guys with a giveaway!
today's giveaway is from lisa curran, who makes the sleek black maxi cover up on the right. our winner will get to choose any bikini, one piece, or cover up from lisa's line. all you have to do to enter is visit her shop and then tell me in the comments what you'd choose. (and tell me your spring break plans while you're at it!) our winner will be chosen saturday and contacted privately. good luck and happy commenting!
p.s. lisa has generously offered 15% off to any hey natalie jean reader with the code NATALIEJEAN15.

ReplyDeleteI wish it were coming into spring here, in Australia we're clutching onto the last of the warmth, I'm escaping the winter for the sunny Thai beaches though.
Love the braid maxi dress! Hubby and I will be vacationing soon so that would be a pretty sweet addition to my wardrobe :)
ReplyDeleteshirred bandeau one piece. super cute. as for spring break -- we are staycationing the heck out of our city. hubby just got a new job so no time off yet. plus we aren't really familiar with a lot of what our area has to offer. time to explore!
ReplyDeletelove the braid maxi dresses. i'm also obsessed with those karen walker sunnies...and tortoise! le sigh. i'm actually in florida and alabama right now for spring break, so i'd save the dress for summer ;) xo

ReplyDeleteI love the braided maxi dresses so cute!!
ReplyDeleteooohhh...I would pick the Shirred Bandeau One-Piece in the green color. That's got to be flattering, right? In less than a month I'll be cruising the Caribbean! I can hardly wait!!
ReplyDeleteThe braided maxi dress in white is plum lovely. (Although i'm a sucker for a good caftan.) Spring break in Oregon is over and done with, alas. And the heat here (which you probably already know) isn't, really heat at all. It's soft and damp and fleeting. I grew up in the deserts of SoCal, so I think I will always miss stepping out into the hair-dryer.
ReplyDeleteThose braided maxi dresses are amazing. We are on spring break this week here in Utah, and it's snowy :( But that maxi dress would give me hope for spring!
ReplyDeleteIf I win I'll let my niece pick something.
ReplyDeletethat sparta one piece is quite all right, but i feel like i'd LIVE in that braid maxi dress like all summer!
ReplyDeleteI love the maria ruffle tankini! and I wish I had spring break plans, but BYU is lame and doesn't give us a spring break!
ReplyDeleteWoo hoo! We love Arizona! We are in Mesa and I'm currently sitting with all the windows and doors open with the fans on! Dry heat is a hell of a lot better than that humidity. Welcome back to the land of oversized cars and cafe rio!
ReplyDeleteThe multi strap bikini for summer!! Spring break has already come and gone..
ReplyDeleteKate Multi Strap bikini! it's so beautiful and sleek. Sadly, my spring break has already passed, but I was able to enjoy it in rainy Oregon.

ReplyDeleteshakkablakka.blogspot.nl
I'm not sure if anything would be appropriate for the sheer size of my pregnant belly right now, so I'd opt for drapey coverup! Can't wait for some Florida sunshine

ReplyDeleteI'm heading to Croatia for a week in June, I plan on basking in the sun and returning to London a crisp. I have been obsessing over finding the perfect easy breasy slip of a white dress and Lisa Currans braid mini dress in white is PERFECT! But I also love the Maria Ruffle Bandeau One-Piece in black ... swooooooon. I can't choose ...
So jealous of anywhere with heat!! Just came back from Thailand and missing the heat SO MUCH! there's too much rain my neck of the world! and those ruffle bikini tops are super adorable and I think would give you a little extra confidence if you're, like me, slightly curvy :) but those maxi cover ups look a cool breezy versatile dream! and no spring break for me :( Britain unfortunately doesn't tool like that!
ReplyDeleteI love the black braid mini coverup
ReplyDeletei'm taking my first plane trip with my babe in a couple weeks! we're visitng my friend in florida and as nervous as I am to have a 10 month old on an airplane i'm so excited to see his reaction to having his toes in the sand
Looove the Audry retro halter/hipster two-piece & also the braid mini and maxi cover-up dresses! I'd have a hard time choosing but those are the pieces I like best! Spring break in MN was last week, when it was....decidedly not spring-y. I stayed home with my kiddos. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the braid black maxi dress. My other cover up is from target about a billion years ago. It's time for it to be retired! No plans this spring break. My son is in Chicago with his grandpa and uncle for a guys weekend so I'm just being lazy and enjoying a quiet week with my husband. Nothing as sweet as being somewhere tropical, but i'm not complaining. :) Thanks for the great giveaway!

No plans for Spring Break, but in July my husband's family reunion is happening in Asheville, NC. Have you been. It's going to be wild. I married into the party family!!
ReplyDeleteI'm still nursing my little peanut, so i would love the tankini in black! I also LOOOOVE the cover-up in the natural/tan color.
ReplyDeleteI love love love the SAND long Braid Maxi dress cover up! Thanks Natalie.
ReplyDeleteThe black ruffle tankini would be my choice! Super cute. And BYU doesn't believe in Spring Breaks... grrr...
ReplyDeleteI like the sparta one piece!
ReplyDeleteI'm in love with the braided maxi dresses! So effortlessly cool. My Spring Break came and went. We took my son to the beach for the first time. It was too cold for him to dip his toes in the ocean, but he did get to feel sand. He loves the ocean as much as his father and I do, the waves lulled him to sleep every day. Hope you enjoy your time away!
ReplyDeleteI would love the Eden Shirred V-Neck One-Piece. But those braid mini dress cover ups are nice!
ReplyDeleteFor Spring Break, my husband and I are finally going on our honeymoon in Belize to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. I'm so excited!
I LOVE the Maria Ruffle Bikini and the Braid Mini Dress. We just got back from spring break. We took a long weekend, starting on Thursday, and went to Atlanta. We took our kiddo to the Aquarium (I wept openly at the beautiful musical dolphin show about the Start Spinner who created constellations our of the stories the dolphins told him) and to LegoLand. We spent entirely too much time in the indoor pool and ate some really incredible food. Great time over all.
ReplyDeleteI really like the Maria Ruffle Bikini in Black!
ReplyDeleteMan I want a spring break! The shirred bandeau one pieces look so cute and very curve flattering!! Also I'm pretty sure I am going to have to have the braid mini dress since it is so effortless and pretty for days by the pool/ at the beach!

ReplyDeleteThis is such an exciting giveaway! It's so hard to decide! I love the braided maxi dress cover up in black, but I have been needing a new bikini pretty badly so I think I would go for the Kate Multi Strap bikini. Thanks for hosting such a great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteThe Kate bikini is perfect! Thinking spring break plans will be a very last minute "cheapest/warmest flight" search and an Airbnb.
ReplyDeleteI am headed to Hawaii in a couple weeks. I am newly pregnant (in that awkward stage where you are bigger but not cute yet). I would love the black braid mini coverup to, well, cover up.

ReplyDeletei love the braid mini cover up!
ReplyDeleteAudrey crochet one piece is great!
ReplyDeleteNo spring break for me :(
I would choose the shirred bandeau one piece in caribbean sea. I work at a university and their spring break was last week. Unfortunately staff don't get it off so my spring break was spent working. I'm hoping to get a long weekend SOMEWHERE in the summer though!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely the black maxi cover up! Perfect and classic. And I would wear it in Hawaii! So excited for a break with my sweet baby. We'll be all up in that sunshine.

ReplyDeleteI have been searching high and low for the perfect striped swim suit for what feels like forever now... and had yet to find it until I visited Lisa's site. high.waisted.black.bikini. (with matching top). Can I just say that I have recently been smacked by the "Lauren you have a long torso and shorter legs, if you want longer looking legs (5'2" here), bring up your waist with high-waisted shorts" train? So I would love an opportunity to get a great bikini like this, I know I will wear it all summer long! Spring break, more like enjoy my weekends harder cause lady you're not getting time off yet, haha! Anyway thanks for such a great giveaway and enjoy your time in AZ, soak up some sun for us and I'll be rocking my pale girl jam!
ReplyDeleteSo many cute options to choose from! I'm going to have to go with the Estella Embroidered Tunic in yellow/silver. Love.
ReplyDeleteLove the Audrey Retro Halter bikini or the Chantelle One Piece. Cute stuff!
ReplyDeleteThe French Hearts bikini in white is flirty yet sophisticated, and that is what I would choose. I am going to Hawaii for "spring break"! In a moment of pure spontaneity, I spent 90 percent of my tax return on a ticket to meet my family there. They'll be there for 10 days, and I feel blessed I'll be able to take 5 days off of work to join them for part of the reunion! It wasn't the most financially responsible choice, but it will bring some sunshine to my soul (and my skin)!
ReplyDeletelove the Kate Multi Strap Bikini!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving that braid maxi dress cover up! Especially considering I'll be in my third trimester and large with child come summer time. That cover up looks perfectly light and airy. ReplyDeletethe maxi dress for sure. We had our spring break a few weeks ago and I didn't take any time off work. At this moment I cannot explain what possessed me to do that. I definitely need a few days away.
ReplyDeleteI adore the Braid Maxi Dress! We don't really have a 'spring break' as such here in Australia. But we're heading to the beach for a week over Easter and I am looking forward to having some downtime with my little boy & chilling at the beach.
ReplyDeleteI love the braid halter and hipster bikini. This will be my daughter's second summer, and last year I was hiding under a one-piece. This year I would love to find us both fun bathing suits! Since she's just in daycare, we don't have a real spring break...but we're moving into a new home in North Carolina (our first!) with a pool, and that pool is going to make me miss the last decade of hot New York City summers...almost..

ReplyDeleteReally love the Maria Ruffle Bikini top.... nothing much planned for spring break, just looking forward to all the festival and events in Philly during the warm weather season. :-)
ReplyDeleteThe Braid Maxi Dress in BLACK. Would be amazing to be comfortable and confident on the beach with my 3 yr old maniac...i.e. having to bend at the waist down by the water to dig a "pool" for a distraught toddler, which will immediately be filled in at which point I will do it again and again.
ReplyDeleteThe Sparta one piece rocks! So elegant, so Bain de Soleil lady!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the braid maxi dress in black! And we don't really have any plans for spring break... But, we will be traveling to see family at the end of the month.

ReplyDeleteThe braid maxi dress in white - for sure! I could wear it all year, probably... I'm thinking leggings and a cute cardigan, lol. Yes, the other moms would look at me weird - maybe I could pull off that "just back from the bahamas, what is with all this Oregon Rain?!?!?" vibe?
